Quarter-Square Triangles Cheat Sheet

one seam, two cuts: sized for you

Layer two half-square-triangle units, seams nested. Sew a scant ¼″ on both sides of the opposite diagonal from the existing seam, then cut apart on that line. One pass yields two finished quarter-square-triangle units. Cut your starting squares by the chart below and skip the math.
